New Zealand Glow worms


Glow Worms

This is about Glow worms. They are one of the slowest animals in the world. They can travel 1 mile every two days. Glow worms are often mistaken with ordinary worms. glow worms are famous for their yellow and green tail.


glow worms like damp places, caves, streams, mining tunnels, underground and in
people's back yards.


Glow worms like to eat midges, spider, magnets and termites they also eat more than 20 types of insects that are the size of a pinky fingernail. The glow worms pra is little insects and big birds



When girl Glow worms find a partner they mate until they have babies. When the glow worm is a adult they start to look like mosquitoes and die in a few days time they die. They can go without food for 1 month. They art cacuns for six to nine months. Glow worms have a gut like a kidney which makes their tails glow.
