- page 4. archaeology means? a bunch of people looking for gold and old house
- page 9. fragment means? a part broken off or detached: scattered fragments of the broken toe
- page 9 bone comb means? when people die they used their bones as hair brushes and weapons
- page 12 fascinated means? to attract and hold attentively by a unique power
- page 24 inscription means? something inscribed
- page 13 rune means? letter of an early Germanic alphabet used in carve inscriptions
- page 17 mournful means? your sad or sorry
- page 24 eerie means? uncanny, so as to inspire superstitious fear weird: and eerie midnight howl.
- page 28 boulder means?. big huge rocks that way 20kg or more.
- page 17 superstitious means? you think somethings going on when your not sure
This is The Weeping Shadows. Mr M gave us a book to read and on some pages there were words we had to search for their meanings. We used the school dictionary, looked on the internet and we used the words above in blue writing.
